The beach below the studios is pebble, clean and usually quiet. If you want to go looking, there are several more within a drive.
Ageranos
Also called Vathi, about fifteen miles south of Gythio. Sand rather than pebble, and generally reckoned one of the finest beaches in Laconia.
Kiparissi
North of Monemvasia and south-east of Sparta, a coastal village with three separate stretches of beach to choose between.
Almiro
A small seaside settlement with a clean pebble beach, marking the start of the Messinian Mani, with Kalamata and Taygetos close by.
Kokala
A traditional village built in a half circle around its fishing bay, and a good place to stop for lunch on a drive down the coast.
